For 14 years my work as an academic librarian has focused on making it easier to find, use, and re-purpose digital scholarship, especially ebooks and innovative digital publications. I specialize in front end web development, user research, product and interface design, web and ebook accessibility, and accessible digital publishing workflows for academic publishers.

- Lead UX and user research, UI design, accessibility, and front end development for Fulcrum, a Andrew W. Mellon-funded (Phase I, Phase II, Phase III) open-source publishing platform and set of services that enable the publication and preservation of digitally enriched monographs. The platform enables publishing books in EPUB3 and PDF along with presenting and preserving their associated resources in Samvera-powered Fedora repositories.
- Since launching in 2016, Fulcrum has onboarded 25 publishing partners, grown to a collection of over 15,000 scholarly ebooks, 37,000 media files, has around 700,000 active users per year from 227 countries, and licenses content to nearly 900 libraries across the world with an annual revenue of around $2.3 million.
- To help center product development around users and stakeholders, I built a user research program from the ground-up that has conducted user testing, focus groups, targeted surveys and gathered feedback from over 13,000 participants.
- Lead organizational digital accessibility initiatives at Michigan Publishing and University of Michigan Library, including chairing the Accessible Publishing Working Group and leading University of Michigan Press's design and implementation of an accessible publishing workflow.

- I've led workshops and been invited to present at numerous library and publishing conferences on our accessibility work, advocating for inclusive design practices and publishing workflows and influencing the scholarly publishing community's adoption of born-accessible practices.
- I was recognized for significant leadership and efforts in digital accessibility by the University of Michigan in 2025, receiving honorable mention for the James T. Neubacher award.
